Welcoming the Fertile Current

The Fertile Current
A Return To Living Soil
We are truly grateful to introduce The Fertile Current into our world at MYG!
This is something we have recently welcomed onto our homestead, and it feels like a natural extension of the path we are already walking. Working with the land, listening more deeply, and exploring the subtle forces that support life.
While this is just the beginning of our journey with electroculture, we felt called to share it from the very start. Not from a place of having all the answers, but from a place of curiosity, experience, and openness to what unfolds.
We are excited to document what we observe, to learn as we go, and to share these insights with you over time.
There is something powerful in rediscovering ways of working with nature that feel both ancient and quietly profound, and we look forward to exploring this together.
The Fertile Current was birthed from the lifelong pursuits and lived experience of its founder, Chris Winters . From first generation Veganic farming to years of working closely with the land and exploring energy based practices, his path has been rooted in a deep understanding that everything is ONE .
What has emerged is not simply a tool, but an offering. Handcrafted electroculture antennas and systems for those who feel a deeper calling to work with the unseen forces that support life itself.
At MYG, we have recently begun integrating The Fertile Current into our own homestead. This is the beginning of our journey with it, and we share this space as both exploration and invitation.
What is Electroculture?
Electroculture, sometimes known as magnetoculture, is the agricultural use of subtle electrical voltage to stimulate electromagnetic activity within the soil.
The very word alchemy finds its roots in “Al Kimitlectroculture works with natural energetic processes already present in the environment. Through this gentle stimulation, elements within the soil begin to transform, becoming more available and supportive to plant life.
This process can be understood as a kind of “spiritual digestion” within the soil , a quiet alchemy where life is nourished from within.
The very word alchemy finds its roots in “Al Kimit,” referring to the rich, dark, electromagnetically active soils of the Nile Delta, long associated with fertility, vitality, and transformation.

The Science Behind the Current
From a scientific perspective, electroculture can be understood through the work of Michael Faraday and his principle of electromagnetic induction.
When a conductor is exposed to a changing magnetic field, an electrical current is generated. In the case of electroculture, this effect is created through the interaction between atmospheric energy and the earth itself.
The antennas collect positive charge from the surrounding environment, including atmospheric electricity, telluric currents, and natural electrochemical exchanges. This energy is then conducted into the negatively charged earth, creating a subtle electromagnetic flow through the soil.
This flow does not rely on high voltage. In fact, only very small, natural voltages are required to stimulate meaningful change.
How the Antennas Work
The Fertile Current paramagnetic electroculture antennas are designed to bring together multiple natural forces into one unified system.
Each antenna functions by collecting positive electrical charge and pairing it with the negative charge of the earth, creating electromagnetic flux within the system.
There are two primary models:
CW1 uses a steel wire array to collect free electrons from the troposphere
CW2 uses a copper tensor rod to generate piezoelectric charge
Both systems include:
A brass rod to collect telluric currents flowing through the earth
A magnetic pile aligned with these currents to support conduction
A voltaic pile using copper and zinc to generate voltage through electrochemical exchange
A thermocouple operating on the Seebeck effect, generating millivoltage through temperature differences
All internal components are solder bonded and housed within a copper structure filled with paramagnetic basalt rock powder.

The Role of Paramagnetism
Paramagnetic basalt plays a key role in the system.
This mineral has the ability to attract and interact with subtle cosmic and atmospheric forces. It enhances the antenna’s ability to draw down energy and distribute it into the soil.
Basalt is also naturally high in capacitance, effectively allowing the antenna to act as a living battery.
Research into soil paramagnetism, notably by Phil Callahan, has shown how these properties can influence plant vitality and soil health in profound ways.
Energy, Earth, and Life
There is also a deeper way to understand this process.
In practices such as Medical Qigong, one of the foundational exercises involves drawing energy from above and below , uniting solar and earthly forces within the body to create balance and vitality.
Electroculture mirrors this same principle.
Energy from the sky meets energy from the earth, flowing through the system and into the soil. This union supports life in a way that is both physical and energetic.
It is not something new, but something remembered.

Electroculture is not about forcing unnatural growth or producing oversized crops for display.
Instead, it supports:
Increased yields
Greater plant vitality
Reduced pest pressure
Improved disease resistance
Enhanced nutrient density
More vibrant and resilient crops
The aim is balance, consistency, and true nourishment.
For us, this is not about control. It is about cooperation.
We are at the beginning of working with The Fertile Current on our land, and we will continue to observe, learn, and share what unfolds over time.
We offer these systems not as a product to be pushed, but as a tool for those who feel aligned with this way of working.
There is an intelligence within the soil. A quiet, responsive field of life that thrives when supported rather than dominated.
The Fertile Current is simply one way of reconnecting with that field.
We are grateful to walk this path, to explore what is possible, and to share it with those who feel the same calling.
